This unusual vintage fully lined Wicker Trunk is a charming and rustic piece of furniture, perfect for storing clothes and accessories. It has two labels attached (see pictures), which point to a potentially military use. With its rectangular shape and impressive metal locking bar, it exudes a sense of nostalgia and authenticity. It is mainly woven from wicker with a timber sled base and a surprising blue rope layer including blue rope handles. the edges are reinforced with leather, which is also partly woven into the wicker mesh. The lining is made from strong cloth and relatively clean apart from two dark blue stains. Over time it has slightly distorte, leaning to one side. If cared for it has certainly a lot of life left and is an unusual focal and discussion point in any home whilst providing valuable storage space. This spacious trunk is 80 cm long x 43 cm wide x 47 cm heigh. a quirky addition to any home, mancave, pub, bar, restaurant, theatre. due to its size it is local collection only!
