1. Introduction
Causee is committed to providing a safe, trusted and responsible marketplace for buyers and sellers. While most everyday items may be bought and sold on Causee, certain products are prohibited because they are illegal, unsafe, restricted by law or inconsistent with our marketplace policies and values.
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that every item they list complies with this policy, our Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws.
2. Prohibited Items
- Illegal items: Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, illegal drugs, controlled substances, fake documents or any item whose sale is unlawful.
- Dangerous items: Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks, offensive weapons and any item intended to cause harm.
- Regulated products: Prescription medicines, unauthorised medical products, tobacco products, vaping products and alcohol where prohibited.
- Animals and wildlife: Live animals, endangered species, ivory and products whose sale breaches wildlife protection laws.
- Adult content: Pornographic material, adult services and other explicit content not suitable for a general marketplace.
- Financial products: Investments, loans, cryptocurrency offerings and regulated financial products.
- Digital and unlawful services: Hacked accounts, stolen digital goods, illegally obtained software licences or fraudulent services.
- Unsafe products: Recalled products, hazardous chemicals, expired cosmetics or unsafe children's products.
- Offensive or extremist material: Items promoting hatred, discrimination, terrorism or violent extremism.
3. Restricted Items
Some products may only be listed subject to additional legal or marketplace requirements.
Causee reserves the right to restrict, remove or refuse any listing where we believe it may create legal, safety or reputational risks.
4. Enforcement
Where this policy is breached, Causee may remove listings, suspend or restrict accounts, cancel transactions or take any other action considered appropriate.
Serious or repeated breaches may result in permanent account suspension and, where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.
5. Causee's Discretion
This policy is not exhaustive.
Causee reserves the right to remove any listing or prohibit the sale of any item where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to comply with the law, protect our community, preserve the integrity of the marketplace or uphold Causee's mission and values.
6. Updates
We may update this Prohibited Items Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legislation, marketplace practices or the development of the Causee platform.
